# MAGIC vs HOA Connect

The clearest difference is rating: HOA Connect at 3.0 against MAGIC's 2.3. MAGIC's advantage is ratings volume (277 vs 2) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

HOA Connect holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MAGIC has 277 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 8% of MAGIC's written reviews are positive against 0% of HOA Connect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MAGIC ships an update every 3 weeks, HOA Connect every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
