# uHIT Baseball vs Trace Baseball

The clearest difference is monetization model: uHIT Baseball at free with in-app purchases against Trace Baseball's subscription. uHIT Baseball also leads on ratings volume (521 vs 2) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Trace Baseball's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. uHIT Baseball sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Trace Baseball sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Trace Baseball holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: uHIT Baseball has 521 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

uHIT Baseball ships an update monthly, Trace Baseball every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
