# IT Professionals Training vs CompTIA Security+ Exam Test

The clearest difference is rating: CompTIA Security+ Exam Test at 4.7 against IT Professionals Training's 4.2. CompTIA Security+ Exam Test also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (705 vs 6). IT Professionals Training's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IT Professionals Training sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $44.99 per year and CompTIA Security+ Exam Test sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CompTIA Security+ Exam Test holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CompTIA Security+ Exam Test has 705 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of IT Professionals Training's written reviews are positive against 76% of CompTIA Security+ Exam Test's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

IT Professionals Training ships an update every 3 weeks, CompTIA Security+ Exam Test every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 17, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
