# Ebb vs Downshift

The clearest difference is update cadence: Downshift at fortnightly against Ebb's every 2 months. Ebb's advantage is iOS requirement (10.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Ebb ships an update every 2 months, Downshift fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
