# HomeEye vs V720

The clearest difference is rating: V720 at 4.3 against HomeEye's 2.2. V720 also leads on ratings volume (4.8K vs 38). HomeEye's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (17% vs 9%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HomeEye sells 18 one-off in-app purchases and V720 sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $0.39 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

V720 holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: V720 has 4.8K ratings behind it against 38, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of HomeEye's written reviews are positive against 9% of V720's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

HomeEye ships an update every 2 weeks, V720 every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
