# Blueground vs NEX Smart

Blueground and NEX Smart both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of NEX Smart's written reviews are positive against 29% of Blueground's. NEX Smart also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.6). Blueground's advantage is ratings volume (4.1K vs 3) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Blueground against 4.7 for NEX Smart. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Blueground has 4.1K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 29% of Blueground's written reviews are positive against 100% of NEX Smart's.

Blueground ships an update weekly, NEX Smart every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
