# MWeb vs iMarkdown

The clearest difference is rating: iMarkdown at 5.0 against MWeb's 4.5. iMarkdown also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks) and review sentiment (90% vs 67%). MWeb's advantage is ratings volume (153 vs 1) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MWeb sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year and iMarkdown sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

iMarkdown holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MWeb has 153 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 67% of MWeb's written reviews are positive against 90% of iMarkdown's.

MWeb ships an update every 3 weeks, iMarkdown every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
