# Amazon Chime vs DSP Chat

The clearest difference is monetization model: Amazon Chime at free against DSP Chat's subscription. Amazon Chime also leads on ratings volume (684 vs 2) and review sentiment (21% vs 0%). DSP Chat's advantage is rating (3.0 vs 2.6) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DSP Chat holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Amazon Chime has 684 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 21% of Amazon Chime's written reviews are positive against 0% of DSP Chat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Amazon Chime ships an update monthly, DSP Chat weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
