# The Peach Pit vs Virtual Surgery School

The clearest difference is update cadence: Virtual Surgery School at every 2 months against The Peach Pit's every 10 months. Virtual Surgery School also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

The Peach Pit ships an update every 10 months, Virtual Surgery School every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
