# LOC vs ICOM

The clearest difference is monetization model: ICOM at free against LOC's free with in-app purchases. ICOM also leads on review sentiment (58% vs 50%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13). LOC's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for LOC against 5.0 for ICOM. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 2 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 50% of LOC's written reviews are positive against 58% of ICOM's.

LOC ships an update every 2 weeks, ICOM monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
