# Ulearn vs FirePlayer

The clearest difference is update cadence: Ulearn at every 5 days against FirePlayer's every 3 months. Ulearn also leads on ratings volume (237 vs 42). FirePlayer's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ulearn sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and FirePlayer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Ulearn against 4.5 for FirePlayer. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ulearn has 237 ratings behind it against 42, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 68% of Ulearn's written reviews are positive against 63% of FirePlayer's.

Ulearn ships an update every 5 days, FirePlayer every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
