# Ulearn vs WPlayer

The clearest difference is ads: WPlayer at none against Ulearn's shown. WPlayer also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 68%). Ulearn's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (237 vs 8). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ulearn sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and WPlayer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ulearn holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ulearn has 237 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of Ulearn's written reviews are positive against 100% of WPlayer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ulearn ships an update every 5 days, WPlayer every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
