# ISPA vs TV Remote

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ISPA at none against TV Remote's 5. ISPA also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). TV Remote's advantage is ratings volume (15K vs 2) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TV Remote sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. ISPA asks for nothing beyond the download.

ISPA holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TV Remote has 15K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ISPA ships an update every 2 months, TV Remote every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
