# COWRKS vs WeWork

The clearest difference is monetization model: COWRKS at free against WeWork's free with in-app purchases. COWRKS also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). WeWork's advantage is ratings volume (7.4K vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

COWRKS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WeWork has 7.4K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
