# Alias vs StackOverboard

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: StackOverboard at none against Alias's 9. StackOverboard also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and device support (3 vs 1). Alias's advantage is ratings volume (251 vs 2) and chart position (#197 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Alias sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per year. StackOverboard asks for nothing beyond the download.

StackOverboard holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Alias has 251 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Alias ships an update weekly, StackOverboard every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
