# FLIP Training vs MAPS Events

The clearest difference is update cadence: MAPS Events at every 2 weeks against FLIP Training's every 3 months. FLIP Training's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FLIP Training ships an update every 3 months, MAPS Events every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 15, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
