# Text Vault vs SIMless

Text Vault and SIMless both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 77% of Text Vault's written reviews are positive against 18% of SIMless's. Text Vault also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Text Vault sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and SIMless sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Text Vault against 4.4 for SIMless. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Text Vault has 23K ratings behind it against 3.5K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 77% of Text Vault's written reviews are positive against 18% of SIMless's.

Text Vault ships an update every 3 weeks, SIMless every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
