# MyScouting vs esse

The clearest difference is review sentiment: esse at 100% against MyScouting's 17%. esse also leads on rating (5.0 vs 2.3). MyScouting's advantage is ratings volume (120 vs 3) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

esse holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.3.
