# RTV. vs Sky+

The clearest difference is rating: RTV. at 4.0 against Sky+'s 1.8. RTV. also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Sky+'s advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 85 months) and ratings volume (26 vs 2). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RTV. holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sky+ has 26 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

RTV. ships an update every 85 months, Sky+ monthly. Both last shipped on October 4, 2026.
