# NGC vs Coin Scanner

The clearest difference is rating: Coin Scanner at 4.2 against NGC's 2.1. Coin Scanner also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (2K vs 76). NGC's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Coin Scanner sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. NGC asks for nothing beyond the download.
