# Coursicle vs Safe NYU

The clearest difference is rating: Coursicle at 4.8 against Safe NYU's 3.9. Coursicle also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 9 months) and ratings volume (822 vs 22). Safe NYU's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and review sentiment (71% vs 38%). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Coursicle sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Safe NYU asks for nothing beyond the download.

Coursicle holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Coursicle has 822 ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of Coursicle's written reviews are positive against 71% of Safe NYU's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Coursicle ships an update every 9 days, Safe NYU every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
