# Big Keys Keyboard vs CalKeyboard

The clearest difference is update cadence: Big Keys Keyboard at every 2 weeks against CalKeyboard's every 8 months. Big Keys Keyboard also leads on ratings volume (962 vs 5) and rating (3.6 vs 3.4). CalKeyboard's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 27%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Big Keys Keyboard sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and CalKeyboard sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Big Keys Keyboard holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Big Keys Keyboard has 962 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of Big Keys Keyboard's written reviews are positive against 50% of CalKeyboard's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Big Keys Keyboard ships an update every 2 weeks, CalKeyboard every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
