The clearest difference is ads: CloudDrop at none against Scanly's shown. CloudDrop also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). Scanly's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CloudDrop ships an update every 5 months, Scanly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
