# Tentkotta VOD vs FirstShows

The clearest difference is ads: Tentkotta VOD at none against FirstShows's shown. Tentkotta VOD also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). FirstShows's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Tentkotta VOD ships an update every 3 weeks, FirstShows every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
