# QVR Pro Client vs Scrypted

The clearest difference is rating: Scrypted at 5.0 against QVR Pro Client's 2.7. Scrypted also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Scrypted holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 47 and 16 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of QVR Pro Client's written reviews are positive against 33% of Scrypted's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

QVR Pro Client ships an update every 3 months, Scrypted every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
