# Sunwing vs Chipmunk

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Sunwing at 36% against Chipmunk's 9%. Sunwing also leads on rating (4.3 vs 4.0). Chipmunk's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (1.3K vs 198). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sunwing holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chipmunk has 1.3K ratings behind it against 198, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 36% of Sunwing's written reviews are positive against 9% of Chipmunk's.

Sunwing ships an update every 2 months, Chipmunk every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
