# MouseBot vs Hologram

The clearest difference is rating: MouseBot at 4.3 against Hologram's 2.0. MouseBot also leads on ratings volume (1.1K vs 9). Hologram's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 13) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MouseBot sells 13 one-off in-app purchases. Hologram asks for nothing beyond the download.

MouseBot holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MouseBot has 1.1K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of MouseBot's written reviews are positive against 100% of Hologram's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MouseBot ships an update every 4 months, Hologram every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
