# Crime City vs Crime Case

Crime City and Crime Case both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 82% of Crime City's written reviews are positive against 0% of Crime Case's. Crime City also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 13 months) and ratings volume (679 vs 87). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Crime City sells 13 one-off in-app purchases and Crime Case sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Crime Case holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Crime City has 679 ratings behind it against 87, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 82% of Crime City's written reviews are positive against 0% of Crime Case's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Crime City ships an update every 2 months, Crime Case every 13 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
