# Legacy TriDot vs Swimerize

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Legacy TriDot at 263 against Swimerize's 4. Legacy TriDot also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). Swimerize's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Legacy TriDot sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Swimerize sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Swimerize holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Legacy TriDot has 263 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 97% of Legacy TriDot's written reviews are positive against 100% of Swimerize's.

Legacy TriDot ships an update fortnightly, Swimerize every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 7, 2026.
