# The Run Experience vs StarPause

The clearest difference is update cadence: StarPause at daily against The Run Experience's every 6 weeks. StarPause also leads on review sentiment (94% vs 83%). The Run Experience's advantage is ratings volume (542 vs 20) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Run Experience sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and StarPause sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

The Run Experience holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Run Experience has 542 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of The Run Experience's written reviews are positive against 94% of StarPause's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

The Run Experience ships an update every 6 weeks, StarPause daily. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
