# Volt vs DanceWell

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: DanceWell at none against Volt's 10. DanceWell also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). Volt's advantage is ratings volume (17K vs 2) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Volt sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. DanceWell asks for nothing beyond the download.

DanceWell holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Volt has 17K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Volt ships an update every 5 days, DanceWell every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
