# Countdown Widget Maker vs Tickr

The clearest difference is update cadence: Tickr at every 9 days against Countdown Widget Maker's every 2 months. Tickr also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 79%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Countdown Widget Maker's advantage is ratings volume (5.6K vs 4) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown Widget Maker sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 3 months and Tickr sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tickr holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown Widget Maker has 5.6K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 79% of Countdown Widget Maker's written reviews are positive against 100% of Tickr's.

Countdown Widget Maker ships an update every 2 months, Tickr every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 4, 2026 respectively.
