# Offline.maps vs PSTA Access

The clearest difference is rating: PSTA Access at 4.2 against Offline.maps's 2.9. PSTA Access also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (77 vs 8). Offline.maps's advantage is review sentiment (33% vs 10%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Offline.maps sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. PSTA Access asks for nothing beyond the download.

PSTA Access holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PSTA Access has 77 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Offline.maps's written reviews are positive against 10% of PSTA Access's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Offline.maps ships an update every 3 weeks, PSTA Access every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
