# Lap Swim vs SWim

The clearest difference is rating: Lap Swim at 3.2 against SWim's 1.0. Lap Swim also leads on ratings volume (31 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). SWim's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lap Swim sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and SWim sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lap Swim holds the better App Store score, 3.2 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lap Swim has 31 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Lap Swim ships an update every 3 months, SWim every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
