# Authenticator App vs Yū Focus

Authenticator App and Yū Focus both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Yū Focus's written reviews are positive against 72% of Authenticator App's. Authenticator App's advantage is ratings volume (32 vs 1) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Authenticator App sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Yū Focus sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Yū Focus holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Authenticator App has 32 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 72% of Authenticator App's written reviews are positive against 100% of Yū Focus's.

Authenticator App ships an update every 10 days, Yū Focus weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
