# Wahoo VPN vs Cable VPN

The clearest difference is rating: Cable VPN at 4.6 against Wahoo VPN's 3.9. Cable VPN also leads on ratings volume (726 vs 25) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). Wahoo VPN's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 69%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wahoo VPN sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $5.99 per month and Cable VPN sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cable VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cable VPN has 726 ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Wahoo VPN's written reviews are positive against 69% of Cable VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Wahoo VPN ships an update every 6 weeks, Cable VPN fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
