# PlaceRack vs inTouch

The clearest difference is update cadence: inTouch at every 2 months against PlaceRack's every 12 months. PlaceRack's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PlaceRack sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and inTouch sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PlaceRack ships an update every 12 months, inTouch every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
