# DRONE GO vs DJI Virtual Flight

The clearest difference is rating: DJI Virtual Flight at 3.9 against DRONE GO's 2.3. DJI Virtual Flight also leads on ratings volume (1.8K vs 3). DRONE GO's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (50% vs 34%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DJI Virtual Flight holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DJI Virtual Flight has 1.8K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of DRONE GO's written reviews are positive against 34% of DJI Virtual Flight's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DRONE GO ships an update every 2 weeks, DJI Virtual Flight every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
