# PitchAware vs Prep Baseball

The clearest difference is rating: Prep Baseball at 4.2 against PitchAware's 3.6. Prep Baseball also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10). PitchAware's advantage is review sentiment (22% vs 0%) and ratings volume (27 vs 5). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PitchAware sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Prep Baseball asks for nothing beyond the download.

Prep Baseball holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PitchAware has 27 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 22% of PitchAware's written reviews are positive against 0% of Prep Baseball's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PitchAware ships an update weekly, Prep Baseball every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
