# StudyGo vs ObsIdentify

The clearest difference is rating: StudyGo at 4.4 against ObsIdentify's 2.0. ObsIdentify's advantage is review sentiment (58% vs 20%) and ads (none vs shown). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

StudyGo holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 7 and 5 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of StudyGo's written reviews are positive against 58% of ObsIdentify's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

StudyGo ships an update monthly, ObsIdentify every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
