# SCRIBZEE® vs Notes Writer

The clearest difference is rating: Notes Writer at 4.5 against SCRIBZEE®'s 3.8. Notes Writer also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (7.3K vs 180). SCRIBZEE®'s advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 9) and review sentiment (53% vs 45%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notes Writer sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. SCRIBZEE® asks for nothing beyond the download.

Notes Writer holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notes Writer has 7.3K ratings behind it against 180, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of SCRIBZEE®'s written reviews are positive against 45% of Notes Writer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SCRIBZEE® ships an update monthly, Notes Writer every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
