# Distances Pro vs DistanceCalculator

Distances Pro and DistanceCalculator both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 73% of DistanceCalculator's written reviews are positive against 14% of Distances Pro's. DistanceCalculator also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (206 vs 37). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Distances Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and DistanceCalculator sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Distances Pro against 4.6 for DistanceCalculator. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DistanceCalculator has 206 ratings behind it against 37, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 14% of Distances Pro's written reviews are positive against 73% of DistanceCalculator's.

Distances Pro ships an update every 7 months, DistanceCalculator monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
