# NetTools vs Trustd Mobile Security

The clearest difference is monetization model: NetTools at free against Trustd Mobile Security's freemium. Trustd Mobile Security's advantage is review sentiment (83% vs 67%) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NetTools sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Trustd Mobile Security sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NetTools ships an update every 5 weeks, Trustd Mobile Security every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
