# FermentHero vs Fermenta

The clearest difference is ads: Fermenta at none against FermentHero's shown. FermentHero's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 26). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FermentHero sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Fermenta sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FermentHero ships an update every 4 days, Fermenta fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
