# Waffle vs RikSaw

The clearest difference is rating: Waffle at 4.6 against RikSaw's 3.3. Waffle also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (167 vs 7). RikSaw's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 14.0). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Waffle holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Waffle has 167 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of Waffle's written reviews are positive against 33% of RikSaw's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Waffle ships an update every 3 weeks, RikSaw every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
