# ControlMySpa vs Platinum

The clearest difference is rating: ControlMySpa at 3.9 against Platinum's 2.5. ControlMySpa also leads on ratings volume (589 vs 27). Platinum's advantage is review sentiment (31% vs 10%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ControlMySpa holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ControlMySpa has 589 ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 10% of ControlMySpa's written reviews are positive against 31% of Platinum's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ControlMySpa ships an update every 5 weeks, Platinum every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
