# MekaMon vs VIP Guard

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: MekaMon at none against VIP Guard's 1. MekaMon also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (64% vs 51%). VIP Guard's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (112K vs 23). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VIP Guard sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. MekaMon asks for nothing beyond the download.

VIP Guard holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VIP Guard has 112K ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of MekaMon's written reviews are positive against 51% of VIP Guard's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
