# Native Land vs eButterfly

The clearest difference is rating: Native Land at 4.3 against eButterfly's 2.7. Native Land also leads on ratings volume (251 vs 3). eButterfly's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months) and review sentiment (60% vs 50%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Native Land holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Native Land has 251 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Native Land's written reviews are positive against 60% of eButterfly's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Native Land ships an update every 4 months, eButterfly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
