# Examplify vs Core Step Prep

The clearest difference is rating: Core Step Prep at 4.0 against Examplify's 1.4. Core Step Prep also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months) and device support (3 vs 1). Examplify's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and ratings volume (27 vs 2). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Core Step Prep holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 1.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Examplify has 27 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 8% of Examplify's written reviews are positive against 0% of Core Step Prep's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
