# First Camera vs ++Camera

The clearest difference is rating: First Camera at 4.4 against ++Camera's 3.7. First Camera also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (13 vs 3). ++Camera's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. First Camera sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. ++Camera asks for nothing beyond the download.

First Camera holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 13 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of First Camera's written reviews are positive against 75% of ++Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

First Camera ships an update monthly, ++Camera every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
